Great Talent -- Disappointing Material
In her recent Las Vegas show, Earth's great comedic skills were entirely wasted. Somehow, she got the impression that Las Vegas audiences expect lots of profanity and gross subject matter. That's a common mistake made by amateurs, but not by someone of Earth's status and talent. Earth's skills were not the problem, it was simply bad material. A significant number of people walked out during her performance, including two seated right next to us. We stayed until the end, thinking she simply had to get better at some point. She never did.
